Seoul, South Korea (My First Ever Winter Wonderland)

It was just last August or September that we decided to plan for our first ever Winter Wonderland. The first country that is not so costly that came into our minds is South Korea.

It will be our first time to experience snow, considering we came in a tropical country where we can only experience snow in Star City.

Of course, a visa is needed in South Korea. Please refer to the website of  South Korea for a more detailed list of requirements and also for the latest downloadable application form.

We stayed at Residence EO in Myeongdong. It's one of the very popular hotels among those who already visited Seoul. Mr. Lee (the owner) was very prompt in answering all your queries and I can sense that he is a nice person. It is very near in Myeongdong Night Market and the cable car going to N Seoul Tower.

As soon as we left our bags at the hotel , the first thing we did was proceed to our itinerary. We first headed to Trick Eye Museum. I am torn between Trick Eye Museum and the Alive Museum, but we ended up going to the first. Here's just a few of the many pictures we had on our first day.

We chose Gyeongbokgung Palace for being the grandest of them all. I might visit the others when I will visit Seoul in the future.

We even witnessed the changing of the guards.

King Sejong Statue

Cheongyecheon Stream

N Seoul Tower is just few steps from our hotel so it is a must see for us.

Nami Island is well known for K-drama addicts because of Winter Sonata.

Overall, our trip was worth it..
